The Serie A outfit have forked out a €26.65m fee for his signature.
Sevilla could net a further €4m in add-ons.
“I feel very happy to be here, and to be a new Roma player,” Nzonzi said.
“I always want to improve – regardless of age, the most important thing is to give your best and work hard. I want to do that, to become a better player and help the team with my play and experience.”

Torino have completed the signing of Ola Aina from Chelsea.
The 21-year-old joins the Serie A outfit on a loan deal until the end of the season, with a permanent option.
“Torino have been following me for some time, I hope to do well,” he said. “I know this is a company that believes in young people and this is very important.
“In Italy I know that I can learn a lot, especially in the ability to be in the field, because the tactics and organisation of play are essential.
“I really want to experience this new experience to the full, thanks to all the Taurus for choosing me: now it’s my turn, I can not wait to get started.”
6pm: Paul Pogba would be better off at rivals Manchester City, says BBC Sport pundit Andy Townsend.
“I don’t subscribe to any of the other guys, particularly ex-midfield players as well, that have all heavily criticised him,” Townsend said on BBC Radio 5 Live.
“I think he’s an outstanding player and I’ve said that from day one.
“I just think the club he’s playing at and the way they play, doesn’t suit him.
“If he was across the road in a light blue shirt, my goodness, I’m telling you now he would be better than he is.”
