Mata, 30, and Herrera, 29 on Tuesday, are out of contract at the end of the season.

But they have the opportunity to prove to manager Jose Mourinho and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward that they deserve new deals.
4.30pm:Â Chelsea have reached an agreement to loan Ola Aina to Torino, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Aina has made six appearances for Chelsea.

He said: âNaby Keita is a good player, you can see that and he’s only going to get better.
âComing into a new team is not always easy. You can only imagine how good he’s going to be with more time with the boys.
âHe’s top quality and like all the signings we’ve brought in there’s even more competition. That’s what you want.â
1pm:Â Chelsea could lose N’Golo Kante this month after bieng linked with Real Madrid and PSG, accoridng to Paul Merson.
âAs you said about Hazard and Willian, Iâd put Kante in there,â Merson said.
âWho wouldnât want him? If PSG or someone come in and go âoh, ÂŁ100mâ.Â
âThe season tickets are sold now, the groundâs sold out.Â
âChelsea havenât got to worry about selling seats.Â
âMoney talks and Iâd be very worried if I was the Chelsea manager at the moment, just because theyâve got three big, big players there that could easily play for Barcelona or Real Madrid any day of the week.â
11am:Â Chelsea could yet sell star men Willian and Eden Hazard this summer, according to Sky Sports pundit Matt Le Tissier.
âI donât think you can take it as a given (that they will stay),â he said of Willian, who has also been linked with Real and rivals Barcelona, and Hazard.
âThe opportunity is there and if somebody came in, a Barcelona came back in for Willian at ÂŁ90m or something, would you turn it down?
âAs a business can you turn it down? Thatâs a lot of money.â
9am:Â Kepa Arrizabalaga was not Maurizio Sarriâs first choice as Thibaut Courtoisâ replacement it has been revealed.
The new Blues boss actually wanted Atletico Madrid star Jan Oblak as his No.1 with the Belgian departing for Real Madrid.
Chelsea went as far as activating Oblakâs ÂŁ90m release clause in the belief that he would want to move to Stamford Bridge.
But the Slovenian stopper rejected the club in favour of staying at the La Liga club.
7am:Â Real Madrid are poised to step up their pursuit of Chelsea star Eden Hazard.
The Belgian is open to leaving the Blues and has stalled on the new ÂŁ300,000-a-week contract offered by the club.
Chelsea are reportedly demanding ÂŁ200m for the 27-year-old.
And Real are set to increase their bid in an effort to convince the Premier League side to sell.
6am:Â Tottenham are now regretting not trying to sign Jack Grealish earlier in the transfer window.
Spurs were not prepared to increase their ÂŁ25m valuation on the midfielder, 22, when Aston Villa were demanding ÂŁ40m.
But as Spurs remained convinced the deal would go through before last Thursdayâs transfer deadline for Premier League signings, the game changer was Villaâs sudden ownership change.
Villaâs new regime not only rejected Tottenhamâs eventual offer of ÂŁ25m but also insisted Grealish was not for sale.
The midfielder had his heart set on a move to Mauricio Pochettinoâs squad but Villa are more interested now in negotiating a new deal.

11.30am: Manchester United’s top brass do not trust Jose Mourinhoâs judgement when it comes to signing players, according to Perry Groves.
He said: âThey donât trust Jose Mourinhoâs judgement on players.
âWhen have you heard Manchester United say, âoh no, weâre not buying him because he hasnât got a sell-on feeâ?
âI canât remember them doing that with Robin van Persie when he was 30, and Sir Alex Ferguson said, âwe need him, doesnât matter if itâs one or two seasons, heâll win us the leagueâ, which he did.
âThey had a chance to sign Yerry Mina, but then Man United said, âoh, weâre not paying the extortionate agentâs feesâ.
âBut they didnât say that about Paul Pogba with Mino Raiola â they didnât worry about paying him a fortune in agentâs fees!
âThereâs an even bigger chasm now between Ed Woodward and Mourinho.â
9am:Â Liverpool pulled out of a deal to sign Lyon star Nabil Fekir because they didnât want to gamble on his knee issues.
Fekir was heavily linked with a switch to Chelsea towards the end of the transfer window, while there were suggestions that Liverpool had reignited their interest.

It would have set Arsenal back another ÂŁ80m to make the deal permanent a year down the line.

We only have three players: Carl Jenkinson, David Ospina and Joel Campbell, with the possibility to leave.
âBut the other players are with us and we are going to work in the Emirates the day before the match with all the players.
âOnly two young players are going today, to play tomorrow with the under-23s against Manchester City away. They are Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah.
âThe others, they are with us and tomorrow we decide the group for going to the hotel and also the first 11 and the first 18 players.â
9pm:Â Gary Neville has slammed the Manchester United board over their failure to sign Toby Alderweireld from Tottenham.
âYou think of Alderweireld, which to me seemed like a certainty that Manchester United would sign Alderweireld,â the former right-back said on Sky Sports.
âItâs not too much at ÂŁ50million because ultimately youâve just got to get the players in. Thatâs the main thing, get the players in.â
Neville went on to criticise the United board for failing to back Mourinho and sign a defender he so wished for.
âJose Mourinho was brought here to win, you canât three quarters build a house and then stop,â he added.
“You have to finish the house, you have to go with it.
“You canât sort of fall back and think âIâm changing my mindâ, youâve gone too far.
âThe club, since they sacked David Moyes, have been on a roundabout and have been reacting to things rather than going with a long-term strategy.
âJose Mourinho is a great manager, one of the best managers in the world over the last 15 years and will go down in history. You have to back him all the way.
âIt looks to me at the moment like the board have retreated a little bit.â
8pm:Â Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has joined Valencia on a season-long loan.
