Exciting news for Michael Buble fans! The singer is going on tour and heās taking an absolutely savage stab at anyone who said he was retiring in the process!
You might remember earlier in October that Daily Mail reported that Michael Buble would be retiring from music after the release of his next album Love due to the turmoil that his family has experienced with his 5-year-old son Noahās cancer battle.
āI donāt have the stomach for it anymore. The celebrity Narcissism,ā the singer was reported to have told the publication. āThis is my last interview. Iām retiring Ive made the perfect record and now I can leave at the very top.ā
But just a few days later, it was reported that this was far from the case! Multiple publications were reporting that a representative for Michael Buble had disputed these claims.
āHe is not going anywhere,ā said a representative to US weekly. ā[He] is absolutely not retiring.ā
And now this has proved to be completely true after Buble announced that he isnāt leaving the music industry, but heās actually going on tour!
And guess what heās calling it? The āDonāt Believe the Rumoursā Tour! (And thatās DEFINITELY a passive-aggressive stab at the clearly false gossip if ever weāve heard one and we LOVE it!)
The tour has currently only been announced for 27 stops around the United States, kicking off in Tampa on February 13, so donāt get too excited just yet Aussie fans. But weāre keeping our fingers crossed that he will extend it to a world tourā¦or at least just to Australia (please).
This tour will be the starās sixth time touring and it will be in honour of his 10th studio album, Love, which debuts on November 16.
Michael Buble has spoken openly about his familyās recent struggles after his young son Noah was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2016.
āI truly thought Iād never come back to music,ā said Buble to the Herald Sun back in July. āFamily is what matters. The health of my children is number one. The relationship with my family, my wife, my faith – all of it is easily number one.ā
āI donāt talk about the whole story, not even to my friends because it hurts too much,ā he added. āItās my boy Heās a superhero, he doesnāt need to relive it over and again. But Iāve been to hell. And you know what, hell seems like a really nice place to vacation compared to where weāve been.ā
ET is reporting that Noahās health has continued to improve since his diagnosis, with a representative for Buble telling them earlier this year that he was ādoing very wellā.
Buble last performed in Sydney at Allianz Stadium on October 5 in a one-off concert.Ā
