Is Angelina Jolie begging her six kids to choose her over Brad Pitt amid their custody battle? Thatâs the claim in one of this weekâs tabloids. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story.
According to In Touch, the actress has a new plan to ensure that her estranged husband doesnât get joint custody of their children, and it involves turning the kids against him. An alleged insider tells the magazine, âSheâs already got the oldest boys [Maddox, 17, and Pax, 14] in her corner. Now sheâs trying to get the four youngest [Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 10] on her side.â The questionable source adds, âShe wants all the kids to tell the judge they want to live with her. Sheâs begging them, âChoose me!ââ
The supposed insider goes on to say that Jolie is catering to her kids in an effort to win them over. âIf they ask to go shopping, they go shopping,â says the suspicious tipster. âIf they want to go hiking, they go hiking. Sheâs trying her hardest to spoil them.â The seemingly phony source concludes, âSheâll resort to any dirty trick to make sure she gets custody.â
Gossip Cop, however, checked in with a source close to the situation, who tells us on background thereâs âno truthâ to the story. People, a much more reliable celebrity news outlet than In Touch, similarly reported last month that Jolie âremains focused on healing her family.â The publication added, âShe continues to support the reconciliation of the children with Brad.â
Also last month, E! News said, âIn terms of the kidsâ relationship with Brad, Angelina definitely remains committed to helping the kids heal with their father.â Itâs true that Pitt and Jolieâs custody battle has been contentious and there are a lot of disagreements involved, but the actress isnât manipulating her children to turn against their dad. E! also noted that Jolie is âfocused on the kids and working to do whatâs best for them.â That doesnât involve brainwashing them to choose sides.
Meanwhile, In Touch is hardly trustworthy when it comes to the actressâs personal life. Last month, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming that Jolie was marrying an âEnglish billionaire.â This latest article makes no mention of what happened to her so-called British boyfriend. Additionally, the magazineâs narrative isnât original. Gossip Cop called out Womanâs Day last month for making up a similar story about Jolie âspoilingâ her kids to win them over. The premise remains untrue.
