The 25-year-old has had a record-breaking debut campaign on Merseyside, scoring 43 goals in all competitions, and scooped the club’s two main prizes at their end-of-season awards on Thursday evening.

Salah was named the Player of the Year and the Players’ Player for his heroics across the campaign and his comments after lifting the awards will have been music to the ears of Liverpool supporters.
